Thursday morning, the Southeastern Conference officially announced the site of next year’s SEC Softball Tournament in May of 2024. Per release, the tourney will take place at Auburn on Jane B. Moore Field:

“The Southeastern Conference announced the 2024 SEC Softball Tournament will be held at Jane B. Moore Field on the campus of Auburn University.”

This will be the second time Jane B. Moore Field has played host for the SEC Softball Tournament, as they did back in 2007 when LSU won it all while the home team Tigers failed to even make the tourney field since only the top eight league play finishers qualified back then. However, the tournament now accepts all 13 teams (aside from Vanderbilt, who has no softball team), so Auburn softball will finally get to play in front of its own fans in the next SEC Tournament at Jane B. Moore Field.

Read below for some more info on the host site and the 2024 SEC tourney, as provided by the SEC website:

“The 2024 SEC Softball Tournament is slated for May 7-11. This will mark the second time the Tigers have served as the host school for the event, previously hosting the tournament in 2007. The Tigers started playing at the facility, then named the Auburn Softball Complex, on April 24, 1998, and the field saw its first full season of play in 1999. It was renamed Jane B. Moore Field in 2002 in honor of Dr. Jane Moore, who served more than 20 years as a member of Auburn’s Committee on Intercollegiate Athletics.
