BWI Chat: Penn State recruiting evals, spring practice notes and commit watch?

The Blue White Illustrated staff was chatting with our premium subscribers over the weekend to discuss what’s happening with Penn State football and several other topics. Among the questions this week:
- Over/under on commits at the BW game? Over/under on total commits by the end of official visits in June?
- Top three biggest recruiting bad evals of Franklin’s tenure? Top three biggest recruiting misses from the 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 classes?
- Is James Franklin’s philosophy still to run the program as a development and retention program or is there any push to start trying to drop bags for some of these elite five-stars?
- If Penn State could have Mitchell Tinsley or Derrick Tangelo for this coming season, which would they choose?
- Any updates on Bekkem Kritza?
- Out of some of the players that weren’t at practice the other day (some notable) – anything to worry about there or is everyone pretty much on the same trajectory and others dealing with “bumps and bruises?”
- Will PSU have more of an offensive or defensive posture in the spring portal window?
- When do the remaining 2025’s who haven’t enrolled yet arrive? Eager to see Chaz Coleman in pads.
