Morris, the son of ex-Arkansas and SMU head coach Chad Morris, joined the Horned Frogs last year after spending 2020 at Oklahoma. He played in four games last season, including two starts in place of an injured Duggan.
In his first start, he led TCU to a 30-28 win over then-No. 12 Baylor while accumulating the second-largest total offense output in Horned Frogs history (531 yards). That included 461 passing yards, the third-highest total in Big 12 history for a player making his first career start, along with 70 rushing yards and three total touchdowns.
