Charles Barkley has hilarious reaction to Russell Westbrook outfit, abs
UCLA alum and current Los Angeles Clippers guard Russell Westbrook is known as one of the most fashionable players in the entire NBA. Westbrook has never turned down a moment to turn a stadium tunnel into a runway, and Sunday before the Clippers first round playoff matchup with the Phoenix Suns was no different.
Westbrook arrived in a gold colored matching shirt and shorts set with black boots, wearing his button up shirt open without any kind of undershirt. His workout regimen was surely on display with his wardrobe choice, which was met with some jealousy from an NBA legend.
Former NBA star Charles Barkley was on TNT’s pregame broadcast crew ahead of the game and saw Westbrook’s outfit for the first live on air, and could’t help but give a hilarious reaction in true Chuck fashion.
“Thank man is dangerous,” Barkles said adding, “I can’t remember the last time I could take my shirt off in public.”
Barkley was known for numerous things before and after his playing career from his elite scoring and rebounding ability, to his trash talk and humorous antics. But a picture perfect physique was not one of those things. With various nicknames like The Round Mound of Rebound, The Chuck Wagon, The Incredible Bulk, The Leaning Tower of Pizza, and Bread Truck, it was never a secret that Barkley was not going to show off his abs like Westbrook at any point in his career.

More on Clippers vs Suns
The Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns first round playoff series features some of the NBA’s biggest superstars and familiar faces. Westbrook signed with the Clippers on February 22 following his stint with the Los Angeles Lakers. It’s Westbrook’s fifth stop of his NBA career, as he joined forces with former two-time NBA Champion and Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Paul George.
George is still recovering from knee injury he suffered in March, and will likely miss the entire playoff series. But Westbrook will be facing another Thunder teammate and two-time Finals MVP winner Kevin Durant, who was traded to the Suns on February 9. Durant and Westbrook spent eight seasons as teammates in Oklahoma City before going their separate ways, but seven years later, they’ll share the court again as opponents in the NBA playoffs.
