Commitment Breakdown: What Auburn is getting in WR Denairius Gray
Everything you need to know about new Auburn commit, 2026 wide receiver Denairius Gray from Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna.
The Gray File
— Gray is a 6-foot-1 170 pound receiver with long arms, a deep threat ability, and good open field speed. He is able to take the top off of defenses at this level.
— Gray is not a speedster, but has good speed for his rangy frame. He is able to go up and high point the football over defenders.
Auburn fit
— Gray is able to play the outside receiver spot. He is big and physical enough to do it while being fast enough to go deep if needed.
— If Auburn is attempting to move toward a much more effective passing attack, Gray is the type of receiver needed to further that. He is able to do many different things as an outside receiver.
Football IQ
— Gray already shows a good level of understanding of the position. He runs the in-breaking routes well and shows good concentration over the middle and while in traffic.

— The best attribute he has at this time is his ability to go up and win the ball with body positioning. He will only improve in this area.
One area for improvement
— Route running will be the biggest area of need for Gray. Right now, his hands are really good, his ability to win positioning is good as well. Good route running will take his game to the next level. He is on the way, though. Gray is a strong, young prospect.
SEC readiness
Gray will continue to grow into his lengthy frame and be able to compete in the SEC. As a 10th grader, he already has the length and frame necessary for the SEC.
