3:53 p.m. CT: His grandfather is now speaking and weakening an orange cap and orange slip-on shoes. Maybe a sign. He’s telling a story about telling Corian about the Trojans, being the best you can be, and remembers Corian and recent Texas commit Jordon Johnson-Rubell together.

3:50 p.m. CT: Corian’s family is discussing first workout with famed DFW trainer Christian White – Coach Flight. Horrible Day 1 but after a month he made transition to DB. Dad calls pre process. As a sophomore he turned it on, they recall. They say Cori has cried and worked, and that that grind is what makes him special.

3:41 p.m. CT: Corian’s youth coaches say in Fort Worth say he was a “dawg” as a kid. He was an anchor to an undefeated youth program. Had adversity in middle school and he persevered to now. Calls him an old school kid who won’t fold under pressure, won’t give you attitude and coach able … says he will make mom and the Lancaster community proud at the next level.

3:39 p.m. CT: Leon Paul, Corian’s head coach, is raving about C8 saying he model citizen for the Lancaster helmet but amazing to have all the finalists on the table. Says he has no clue where he’s going but happy he’s a Lancaster Tiger.

3:37 p.m. CT: Corian’s family is speaking on behalf of his dad’s side of the family. They’re praising Corian on being a young black man with his head on straight and that would’ve made his father proud.

3:31 p.m. CT: Talking to people close to Corian’s recruitment, one of the biggest elements was life after football. Texas and Clemson definitely were at the top in both of those categories. The other elements was development and included stability as some of the major factors in Corian’s decision.

3:27 p.m. CT: Now Corian’s aunt is hosting trivia in the crowd. Among the topics covered are his favorite athlete, Jalen Ramsey, and KU being his first offer as a freshman.

3:22 p.m. CT: Corian is just showing up now. We’re still 40 minutes away from the announcement. He is arriving to a standing ovation and cheers from an audience of largely orange and purple.

3:18 p.m. CT: I also spent a lot of time with Corian’s grandparents. His grandpa was so overwhelmed by how Corian’s handled the process. They are really proud of how he’s handled the process up to now.

3:15 p.m. CT: More and more people are showing up in orange. I just talked to his coach Leon Hall who said days like today are special.

3:13 p.m. CT: Speaking with his coaches, they’ve talked about how humble Corian has been through the process. Handling and setting an example for the other kids in the program. I spoke to one assistant, Coach Whitley who is their recruiting coordinator, who’s son went to middle school with Corian and said he’s been a real role model for him.

3:12 p.m. CT: The crowd is showing up with lots of orange. Of course Lancaster High School wears orange and they are the Tigers which coincides with Clemson.
