Report: Cowboys sign TY Hilton to one-year deal worth up to $1.5 million
Contract details have been revealed for new Dallas Cowboys receiver TY Hilton, who signed with the team Monday. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Hilton has the potential to earn as much as $1.5 million in his one-year deal.
Only $600,000 of Hilton’s salary is fully guaranteed, with the rest coming through incentives. Hilton will also receive $50,000 for every regular season game that he remains on the roster. The rest of the incentives are playoff-based, with Hilton having the chance to earn up to $700,000.
Assuming Hilton receives at least a 30% snap share, he will also receive $100,000 for a win in the Wildcard round of the playoffs. For each postseason game that Dallas wins, Hilton will receive an addition bonus with increases of $50,000 the further they advance.
The news that the Cowboys had signed TY Hilton came after they had been teasing the idea of signing Odell Beckham Jr. for months. Reports leaked from the team that OBJ wasn’t, in fact, healthy enough to significantly impact the team, although team owner Jerry Jones said on Sunday that they were still looking at the former Giant as an option.

At 33, Hilton brings 10 seasons of NFL experience, all coming with the Indianapolis Colts. During that span, Hilton had 9,691 receiving yards, 53 touchdowns and 631 receptions. The Miami native was a third-round draft pick in the 2012 NFL Draft out of FIU.
Hilton is set to join a Cowboys (10-3) team that is chasing a NFC East Division title, but finds themselves a couple of games behind Philadelphia (12-1). Dallas will get the chance to earn a victory against the Eagles when the two teams square off in Week 16.
Before that game, Hilton will make his Cowboys debut at 1 p.m. ET this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
