Cowboys host TCU running back Kendre Miller for visit ahead of 2023 NFL Draft
The Dallas Cowboys reportedly hosted TCU running back Kendre Miller for visits on Monday and Tuesday this week as they continue the pre-draft process. Following his time at the Star, Miller is visiting the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday and Thursday, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
The Cowboys are spending a lot of time getting to know Miller. Although they didn’t meet with him at the NFL Scouting Combine, they reportedly had a dinner planned for after the TCU Pro Day and a private workout scheduled as well. Injury recovery kept Miller from doing drills at Pro Day but he’s still getting the opportunity to put the best face forward for Dallas.
According to ESPN’s best-available board, Miller is the No. 9 running back prospect in the draft class. Last year’s ninth running back off the board went No. 123 overall in the fourth round.
After relatively productive seasons for TCU in 2020 and 2021, Miller went off in 2022 with 1,399 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. He also added 116 yards on 16 receptions.
The 6-foot-0, 220-pound running back injured his knee in the Horned Frogs’ 51–45 win over Michigan in the College Football Playoff. The injury kept him out of the national championship game versus Georgia.
Miller is not the only running back the Cowboys have their eyes on ahead of the draft. They’ve also met with Ole Miss standout Zach Evans, A&M star Devon Achane and Tulane RB Tyjae Spears, among others.

Not only do the Cowboys like Miller, but they also like the idea of him running behind a former teammate. They’ve also hosted TCU offensive lineman Steve Avila on a top-30 visit.
