Micah Parsons calls out media to end narrative following rookie season
Micah Parsons put together a sensational rookie season for the Dallas Cowboys. The former Penn State standout certainly didn’t look like a first-year NFL player in 2021, as he racked up 84 total tackles and 13 sacks with three forced fumbles to help lead the Cowboys to a 12-win season.
While Parsons’ name is already known all around the NFL as he’s considered one of the best defenders in the league, the Cowboys star is getting fed up with the media asking the question “who’s going to be the next Micah Parsons?”
Although it can be taken as a compliment for Parsons, the linebacker just wants to be himself for now – especially after his very first NFL season just ended, and that’s understandable.
“We gotta cut this next Micah parsons bs!! Let me be me for a little bit first ! Damn!,” Parsons wrote Monday morning on Twitter.
Parsons – a former On3 Consensus five-star recruit out of the Class of 2018 who was selected No. 12 overall by Dallas in the 2021 NFL Draft – signed a four-year contract worth over $17 million after being drafted. His average salary is over $4 million.

Lamb was initially an alternate for the game between the games’ best players but is now on the roster. The move is thanks to Cooper Kupp and the Rams. Kupp won’t participate in the Pro Bowl after earning a spot in Super Bowl 56 with the win over San Francisco on Sunday night.
The Pro Bowl is Lamb’s first in his two-year career. The other NFC Pro Bowl receiver selections are Packers’ DaVante Adams and Vikings’ Justin Jefferson. However, Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans is replacing Adams.
CeeDee Lamb led the strong Cowboys receiving room in yards with 1,102, adding six touchdowns. Dallas finished the season as the number one offense in the NFL.
The Cowboys drafted Lamb with the 17th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of the University of Oklahoma. He out-performed his rookie stats this season, catching 79 passes on 120 targets.
