The Dallas Cowboys have released their inactive list for Sunday’s game at the Los Angeles Chargers. Donovan Wilson, Will Grier, Chauncey Golston, and Ty Nsekhe are the Cowboys’ four inactives, per The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

Dallas will have a few absences on both sides of the ball when it takes on Los Angeles. Defensive end Randy Gregory is out and remains on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. DeMarcus Lawrence is also set to miss multiple weeks with an injury. Safety Damontae Kazee was questionable earlier in the week, but he is active and will play against the Chargers.

On offense, wide receiver Michael Gallup is on injured reserve after suffering a calf injury during week one. Tackle La’el Collins has been suspended for five games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Backup lineman Ty Nsekhe was hospitalized earlier in the week due to a heat related illness, and he is out for the game.

Micah Parsons could be switching to defensive end

At least temporarily, it appears that former Penn State star Micah Parsons will be playing defensive end for the Cowboys in absence of Gregory and Lawrence. Parsons was seen warming up with the defensive line ahead of the game.

Cowboys defensive end Tarell Basham thinks that Parsons will make a seamless transition to defensive end.

“He can definitely play on the edge,” Basham said of Parsons earlier in the week. “That guy’s an athlete. He’s naturally athletic, naturally gifted, and naturally knows how to rush the passer. I wouldn’t be surprised. Would you?”

Parsons played defensive end at Pennsylvania’s Harrisburg High School. He had 55 tackles, 10.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss while playing at defensive end in high school. He went to Penn State as a five-star prospect.

With Penn State, Parsons had 191 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and six forced fumbles in two seasons. He opted out of the 2020 season and was selected 11th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Cowboys.
