Dallas Cowboys release final injury report ahead of game vs. Vikings
The Dallas Cowboys have released their final injury report ahead of the Sunday Night Football game against the Minnesota Vikings. There are a number of players who are listed on the injury report.
Limited Participants
Dorance Armstrong, DE (ankle)
Dak Prescott, QB (calf)
Tyron Smith, OT (ankle)
The game status for all three players above is listed as questionable on the Cowboys official injury report. The big one to note is that quarterback Dak Prescott is officially designated as questionable for Sunday Night Football. He was limited in his participation in practice for all three days. The team will make a final decision on whether or not he will play on Saturday, according to Ed Werder of ESPN.
Tyron Smith has been dealing with a number of issues throughout the season, including a neck injury that he had a MRI on. He was limited in practice for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and he’s been dealing with an ankle injury. He suffered the ankle injury against New England on Oct. 17. Recently, the All-Pro tackle said he “feels better than he’s felt in years” as he prepares for the Vikings.
Dorance Armstrong has been battling a high ankle sprain since Week 3. It appears he could be close to returning for the Vikings game. He was limited in practice for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. His status for the game is uncertain, which is why he is officially listed as questionable on the injury report. The Cowboys have been cautious with his recovery and high ankle sprains can be a very nagging injury to return from.

Trevon Diggs was a full practice participant on Friday and he’ll be good to go for the Cowboys-Vikings game. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, but got in a full practice on Friday, which means he should be ready to go for the game. Diggs is in the middle of a breakout year and is a candidate for NFL Defensive Player of the Year, so his presence will be massive for the Cowboys’ secondary.
Other players that were full participants all week include defensive end Randy Gregory, wide receiver Cedrick Wilson and safety Donovan Wilson. Gregory is one of the Cowboys best pass rushers on the roster, so he’ll be a nice addition to the lineup. Wilson has stepped up in 2021 and helped the Cowboys when his name has been called, pulling in two touchdown catches thus far.
