Dallas Cowboys release Thursday injury report vs Washington Commanders
The Dallas Cowboys are starting to get healthier. Even though Dak Prescott likely won’t be able to go this week against the Washington Commanders, other weapons are working their way back, according to Thursday’s injury report.
One of the Cowboys’ biggest playmakers on offense, Michael Gallup, was a full participant for the second straight day on Thursday as he continues to work his way back from a knee injury. That bodes well for his availability on Sunday with Cooper Rush at quarterback and CeeDee Lamb at the other wide receiver spot.
There weren’t any surprises on the report, which looked the same as Wednesday.

Did not practice — QB Dak Prescott (thumb)
Prescott’s timeline to return from a broken thumb remains murky. Some reports suggested he could return against Washington, but that doesn’t appear likely since he hasn’t practiced at all this week. However, he could potentially come back next week against the Los Angeles Rams, depending on how he progresses.
Limited participants — DE DeMarcus Lawrence (foot), S Jayron Kearse (knee), TE Dalton Schultz (knee), OL Connor McGovern (ankle)

Lawrence left last week’s game against the New York Giants with a foot injury and has been limited in both practices since. Between his situation and Kearse’s knee injury, the Cowboys have some question marks on defense as they prepare for their final practice of the week on Friday.
Full participants — WR Michael Gallup (knee), LB Luke Gifford (hamstring), WR Simi Fehoko (shoulder)
Gallup still hasn’t played since tearing his ACL late last season, but his full participation bodes well for a potential return. Mike McCarthy said Gallup is “close” to coming back, but still has to work on some things in practice before making his way back onto the field.
