The Dallas Cowboys rode a staunch defensive effort to a win over the Washington Football Team last week. Now, they have to get ready to take on another divisional rival this week: the New York Giants.

Ahead of the showdown, the Cowboys released their first injury report of the week on Wednesday.

Running back Tony Pollard, who missed last weeks’ game with a foot injury, once again didn’t practice. Pollard is Dallas’ No. 2 rusher this season with 602 yards. Losing him is quite a blow for the Cowboys’ backfield, especially considering quarterback Dak Prescott is the team’s No. 3 rusher with 106 yards.

Offensive tackle Tyron Smith also missed practice with an ankle injury. It’s the second time this year he’s dealt with an injury after aggravating it last week against the Washington Football Team.

In some good news, tight end Sean McKeon and running back Ezekiel Elliott were full participants despite dealing with injuries of their own.

Here’s the Cowboys’ full injury report for Wednesday.

Cowboys vs. Giants Wednesday injury report

Did not participate — OT Tyron Smith (ankle), RB Tony Pollard (foot)

Smith missed time earlier this year with a different ankle injury. He was injured again on Sunday against Washington when his leg got caught underneath left guard Connor McGovern in the third quarter.

Pollard missed Sunday’s game with an injury he suffered against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving. He didn’t practice at all last week and deemed himself a “game-time decision” for the game against Washington. He didn’t end up playing, and not practicing on Wednesday doesn’t bode well early on for this week against New York.

Full participant — TE Sean McKeon (neck), RB Ezekiel Elliott (knee)

McKeon didn’t have an injury designation last week and was once again a full participant on Wednesday as he deals with a neck injury. Despite that, he wasn’t active and spent the game on the sidelines.

Elliott, meanwhile, was a full go against Washington, especially in Pollard’s absence. He had 12 carries for 45 yards and a 15-yard reception for Dallas in the 27-20 victory over Washington.

The Cowboys and Giants face off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
