Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard hasn’t practiced all week with a foot injury. It turns out he suffered the injury on his biggest play last week.

Pollard spoke with the media Thursday afternoon and spoke about his injury. He said he felt a “little tear” in his plantar fascia last week during his 58-yard touchdown run against the New Orleans Saints.

That begs the question: Will he play this week when Dallas takes on the Washington Football Team?

“More than likely, it’ll be a game-time decision,” Pollard said, via The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

Losing Pollard would be quite a blow for the Cowboys’ backfield. He and Ezekiel Elliott are the only two players on Dallas’ roster with 100+ rushing yards. Pollard has 602 and Elliott has 765. Elliott is the Cowboys’ RB1 no matter what, but if Pollard can’t play, it’ll be interesting to see who’ll be his backup.

Dallas and Washington face off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

Dallas Cowboys injury report for Thursday

Prior to a couple of weeks ago, Sunday’s showdown between the Washington Football Team and Dallas Cowboys seemed meaningless. Apart from the juiciness of an age-old rivalry, the two NFC East foes seemed to be going in different directions.

However, both Washington and the Cowboys have gone in different directions over the last month. Now, just two games separate the teams in the standings. Adding to the drama, both squads face off against each other twice in December.

The NFC East could begin to be decided on Sunday. A Cowboys victory would give them a huge leg up over Washington, while a victory for the Football Team would bring Dallas within striking distance.

Washington is on a tremendous winning streak at the moment. After shocking Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Ron Rivera’s squad has defeated the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas Raiders.

On the other hand, the Cowboys have been stuck in their own inconsistencies. After dismantling the Atlanta Falcons, they were handled soundly by the Kansas City Chiefs. Afterward, the Las Vegas Raiders ruined Thanksgiving — spoiling Jerry Jones’ Turkey Day. However, they may have turned a corner — taking care of business against the New Orleans Saints.

Something has to give on Sunday. Here’s who’s in, who’s out at the moment.
