Report: Dallas Cowboys, Odell Beckham talks 'still ongoing' after TY Hilton signing
T.Y. Hilton will be a Dallas Cowboy, with the veteran signing on Monday afternoon. This is not the wide receiver many expected to wind up with America’s Team, as much of the discussion has been over Odell Beckham Jr. A lot more star power is involved with Beckham but Dallas still needed help at receiver in the final four games of the season.
Injury concerns have been the problem with Beckham and Dallas since visiting last week. Beckham tore his ACL during the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams and is still in the midst of his rehab process. However, talks have not slowed down between to two after Hilton’s acquisition.
“At the moment I’m told, Cowboys feel unsure of how long the tail-end of Odell Beckham Jr’s current rehab will specifically take, thus the T.Y. Hilton move today,” Anderson said. “Was also just told-as of this tweet-Jerry Jones & Odell Beckham’s camp are ‘still talking.’ Talks are ‘ongoing.'”
If Beckham does sign with an NFL team this season, he most likely will not get action during the regular season. Making a push in the playoffs would be the main reason to add the wide receiver, becoming a significant offensive weapon.
A similar method worked with the Rams last year although, there were no questions about his health. If Dallas continues to stay in contact with Beckham, he could only be around for a short time.

Jerry Jones says Dallas is still interested in Odell Beckham Jr.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones still has his sights set on adding Beckham to the team. With rumors circulating for months now about Dallas’ interest in signing the former Pro Bowl receiver, it seems as if time is running out as the regular season nears its end.
However, Jones hinted after the Cowboys’ 27-23 victory against Houston in Week 14 that some big news could be coming soon regarding Beckham.
“Not at all,” Jones said when asked whether Dallas has moved on from Beckham. “Put a big exclamation on that. That’s all I got on that.”
Health is the main concern when it comes to Beckham, and could be what is holding him up from signing with the Cowboys. The receiver tore his ACL in last season’s Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams and has spent the past 10 months recovering.
Beckham has already met with the Cowboys, as well the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants, about potentially joining the team. He was also in attendance at a Dallas Mavericks game on Monday alongside Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons.
