The Dallas Cowboys reportedly have feelers out for former Rams veteran linebacker Bobby Wagner, according to Jordan Schultz.

“Bobby Wagner’s market is heating up and several teams have reached out, sources tell @theScore,” Schultz tweeted ahead of the start of the free agency window. “I’m told the #Chargers and #Cowboys have called, among others. Don’t rule out a return to the #Seahawks either for the future first-ballot Hall of Fame LB.”

Dallas insider Jane Slater confirmed the team’s interest in signing Wagner, however, the two parties are still just in “initial conversations.

“I can confirm #Cowboys have had what is described as “initial conversations” with LB Bobby Wagner,” Slater tweeted, “but this is once again a ‘does the money and value make sense’ situation for both parties per a source informed.”

Wagner led the league in tackles in 2016 (167 tackles) and 2019 (159 tackles). Thus far during his prolific career, he has 1,523 tackles, 29.5 sacks, 65 pass deflections, 13 interceptions. He also has four defensive touchdowns on his resume.

For his remarkable production, Wagner earned a spot on the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2010s. A model of incredible consistency, he racked up over 100 tackles during every season of his 11-year career in the National Football League, including last season with the LA Rams.
