The NFC East will take center stage on Thanksgiving, as the Cowboys will welcome the New York Giants to Dallas on Turkey Day in 2022.

According to Ryan Dunleavy of The New York Post, the Giants and Cowboys will face-off on Thanksgiving for the first time since the 1992 season. While the rivalry is historic, there haven’t been many iterations on the holiday, but another chapter will be written this season.

Prior, the Cowboys will travel to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sept. 26, where they’ll take on the Giants in a Monday Night Football showdown. As you can see, the two match-ups between the rivals will both have a ton of eyes on them in primetime.

Last season, the Cowboys won the NFC East, while the Giants finished in the cellar. However, New York made wholesale changes this off-season, replacing their general manager and head coach.

Recent seasons have not been kind to the Giants when they travel to Dallas, but it remains to be seen if Thanksgiving will bring the franchise different luck in 2022.

Keyshawn Johnson says Cowboys QB Dak Prescott ‘has to deliver this year’

Count Keyshawn Johnson as one of the leaders of the Dak Prescott needs to perform club for 2022. On Thursday’s edition of Keyshawn, JWill & Max on ESPN, the former NFL star wide receiver turned charismatic analyst explained why the heat is on for the Cowboys quarterback.

“Dak Prescott is on the stove, man,” started Johnson. “He on the right burner, okay? And it’s on high, and the other burner’s ticking. You know that tick, tick, tick, tick, tick — before it actually lights? That’s where his is at. There’s no question. Last year, he got the bag. The year before he got hurt, it was kind of like okay, well let’s figure it out. Now, the flames is hot. He’s boiling right now.”

In response, Johnsons’ cohost — Max Kellerman — stated that he doesn’t believe the pressure is on as high as the former NFL wide receiver is making it out to be. Coming off a devastating injury less than two seasons ago, Kellerman reaffirmed his belief that the former Mississippi State quarterback is just fine. However, Johnson countered with if you’re the quarterback in Dallas, you don’t have the same expectations as every Joe-Schmo quarterback in the NFL.

“This is the Dallas Cowboys. This is not the Philadelphia Eagles, this is not the Carolina Panthers. This is the Dallas Cowboys. America’s Team. If you’re the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, you’re America’s quarterback,” explained Johnson. “He has to deliver this year.”

Last season, Dak Prescott brought the Cowboys an NFC East crown, but fell to the San Francisco 49ers as time literally ran out on them in the NFC Wild Card round. As the 2022 season approaches, Keyshawn Johnson won’t be the lone analyst who wants to see more out of Prescott moving forward.
