Dallas Cowboys to host free agents Ronald Jones, Travin Howard, Chuma Edoga on Monday
The Dallas Cowboys are hosting three free agents on Monday, according to Dallas Morning News‘ Michael Gehlken. Dallas will have running back Ronald Jones, linebacker Travin Howard and offensive lineman Chuma Edoga at the facilities after a big weekend highlighted by the signing of wideout Brandin Cooks from Houston.
All three free agents play positions of need for the Cowboys after several of their own departed via the free agency market in the last week. Linebacker Luke Gifford and offensive lineman Connor McGovern are off to the Titans and Bills, respectively. Meanwhile, the Cowboys cut former first-round RB Ezekiel Elliott to save on 2023 cap space.
Ronald Jones spent one season in Kansas City in 2022, appearing in just six games and logging only 17 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown.
He had been far more productive in his four seasons with Tampa Bay, with a high-water mark of a 978-yard rushing campaign during the 2020 season. Jones also ran for 724 yards in 2019, as well as 428 yards in 2021.
Travin Howard, a TCU alum, has been in the NFL for three seasons, spending all of them with the Rams.
In three seasons, Howard recorded 38 tackles, an interception and five passes defended as a versatile linebacker.
