Dallas Cowboys release Tuesday injury report ahead of Titans matchup

Even with their Christmas Eve win against Philadelphia taking place on a Saturday, it’s still a short week for the Dallas Cowboys. Tennessee is next up on the schedule, traveling to Nashville for a Thursday Night Football showdown. Mathematically, the division title is still up for grabs, making this a must-win for head coach Mike McCarthy.

Dallas is still dealing with previous injuries, though. While they escaped the Eagles with nothing new to add to the injury report, the Cowboys are still hoping to get some key players healthy for the penultimate game of the year.

A full Tuesday injury report was released by the organization, with star linebacker Micah Parsons popping up for the first time. He is dealing with a hand injury but according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, there is “no indication” that he will miss Thursday’s game vs. the Titans.

Micah Parsons pops up on injury report

Parsons has popped up on the injury report just two days before the Thursday Night Football matchup, dealing with a hand injury. He was actually seen with his hand wrapped on Christmas Day when taking a photo with LeBron James.

Thankfully, he is not expected to miss the game.

Even so, Parsons has admitted playing defensive end full-time has been difficult on his body. Originally being drafted as a linebacker, there is a lot more contact on nearly every single play when trying to get after quarterbacks.

“People don’t understand that trench warfare. I’m not gonna lie, when I was playing LB a whole lot last year, my body was way more fresh,” Parsons said on Von Miller’s show, The Von Cast. “There were some plays I wouldn’t get touched. When you’re on the line, you’re getting touched every play.”

Dallas’ pass rush as a whole has not been at the same level either, not getting home and sacking the quarterback. That’s not just falling on Parsons but others such as Armstrong and Lawrence as well.

They will be hoping to change their fortunes against Tennessee, even with Parsons currently suffering through a hand injury.
