CeeDee Lamb reacts to Dak Prescott's request that their lockers be side-by-side
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will be seeing a lot more of CeeDee Lamb on the field as the wide receiver transitions into the top role. Prescott will also get some face-to-face time with Lamb off the field, as the duo now sit next to each other in the locker room per the quarterback’s request.
Lamb was recently asked about his new locker location, saying there is nothing better than being seated next to his quarterback. He thinks the communication between the two has already been better since they don’t have to go out of their way to find one another.
“Honestly, as a plus,” Lamb said. “What’s better than being by QB1? Just building that foundation. Honestly, I feel like me and him kind of want to be in this together for the long haul. So, just going in day in and day out. Any conversation we have at practice, it’s easier to talk to him since he’s right there. My neighbor. I feel like it’s a great move, I wasn’t expecting that either but a lot of things come unexpected.”
When asked what kind of locker mate Prescott is, Lamb had nothing but positive words to say about his quarterback. The two seem to really enjoy being near each other on a daily basis.
“He’s neat,” Lamb said with a smile. “You know, we take care of the locker room most definitely. Take it as a sign of respect for boundaries.”

Lamb and Prescott have been fond of one another on the field as well, connecting for over 2,000 yards over a two-year period. Even in a previously stacked Dallas wide receiver, the former Oklahoma Sooner was turning into one of the NFL’s top pass catchers.
CeeDee Lamb discusses becoming Dallas’ WR1
When Amari Cooper was traded from the Raiders to Dallas during the 2018 season, the offense exploded into one of the best in the league. Even with him now out of the organization, offensive coordinator Kellen Moore will be expected to keep the same production up. Lamb is a huge part of the plan.
Once Cooper left, Lamb said the standard for his performances immediately “raised” and he knew there was work to be done.
“Honestly, kind of, in a sense, it raised the standard,” said Lamb. “I hold myself to a high standard already but at this moment, nothing else you can do but take it on. That’s the energy I have.”
