Dalvin Cook breaks 81-yard touchdown run vs Buffalo Bills
With the third quarter winding down and trailing by 17 points, it looked like the Minnesota Vikings’ hopes were all but shot. However, running back Dalvin Cook was not ready to give up on his team’s chances for a big win.
Inside his team’s own 20-yard line, Cook took a handoff from Kirk Cousins and bounced out to the left. Cook then turned on the jets and outran the entire defense for an 81-yard touchdown run. The touchdown made the game 27-16 in favor of the Buffalo Bills.

Cook is once again having a strong season in the Vikings’ offense. Entering this game, Cook had 608 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Cook also has 119 yards and a touchdown in the receiving game.

Cook was a second-round pick coming out of Florida State in the 2017 NFL Draft. Cook has made it to three Pro Bowls during his time with the Vikings and he has run for over 1,100 yards in each of the last three seasons. Cook had a career-high 1,557 yards in 2020 to go along with 16 touchdowns on the ground.
Along with the impressive play of Cook, the Vikings are off to a very strong season in 2022. Minnesota opened the year with a blowout of the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings have raced out to a 7-1 record entering this game against the Bills.
