As of Tuesday, there are seven possible head coaching opportunities available; that’s including Las Vegas Raiders who are currently being led by interim coach Rich Bisaccia. And with that many openings available, it is understandable why Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn’s name is on the tip of most front office’s tongues.

There has been plenty of interest for the former Atlanta Falcons head coach, who led the Falcons to a Super Bowl appearance in 2016. But just where is Quinn’s mind when it comes to the possibility of leading an NFL team again. Jon Machota has the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator’s strong words on his interest in head coaching.

“There’s just simply nothing to report on from my end. It’s nice to hear if someone is interested. But there’s really nothing to add on my end.” Said he’d just like to talk about preparing for the 49ers today.

This is not the first time Quinn has denied any interest in taking on another head coaching opportunity. He has reiterated on various occasions that he is contempt right now in his position with the Cowboys. The suitors are trying to woo him away, but Quinn is currently not on the market.

Quinn working with Kellen Moore for head coaching interviews

The Dallas Cowboys are preparing for the 2022 playoffs after missing the playoffs last year. And while the team is looking to see who they will play in the wild card round, it has been reported that one of their coordinators is looking to see where he will coach next.

According to Damon Marx, Assistant Sports Editor at The Dallas Morning News, Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has been prepping for a head coaching interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars. But he is not doing it alone, as Dan Quinn has been the one helping him and conducting the mock interviews.

Another Dallas journalist, Jon Machota of The Athletic, added this to the developing story.

“Some good insight on the ESPN game broadcast. Cowboys DC Dan Quinn went through a mock interview w/ Cowboys OC Kellen Moore last week to get him ready for his interview with Jacksonville. Brian Griese said Moore told him his interview last night with the Jaguars was about 2 hours,” wrote Machota on Twitter.
