Police arrested former Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver and Denver Broncos star Jerry Jeudy on Thursday afternoon, according to Denver Post reporter Ryan O’Halloran. The authorities haven’t officially booked the 2020 first-round pick, so details on the charges he may be facing are unavailable so far.

Jeudy was taken into custody between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in Colorado, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s office.

United Press International reporter Al Butler also reports that the police will announce his charges soon and he will be in custody until he appears in court. Butler shared that Jeudy did not turn himself in, but was arrested around noon.

The Broncos selected Jeudy 15th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Alabama. As a rookie in 2020, Jeudy played in all 16 games for the Broncos, bringing in 52 receptions for 856 yards and three touchdowns. This past season, he only played in ten games due to injuries but had 38 receptions for 467 yards.

Jeudy was a consensus All-American in 2018 and first-team All-SEC twice. He finished his career at Alabama with 159 receptions in 42 games for 2742 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Signing in the class of 2017, Jerry Jeudy was a five star-prospect at Deerfield Beach High School. He was the No. 22 recruit in the nation and No. 3 wide receiver, according to the On3 Consensus.

General manager challenges Broncos WR room

General manager George Paton backed up his quarterback room and called out the wide receivers group to step up during the 2022 season.

“They all need to play better and they want to be great,” Paton said. “They’re all really talented. We need to be better around them. We need to get the best out of them. You can’t point to one thing — you can’t point to the quarterback [or] the scheme. They have to be better and they know that. But they’re hungry and they’re prideful.”

Paton went out and did his job this offseason, acquiring Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks to majorly boost the offense in Denver.
