Donovan Williams jumped to No. 89 overall in the latest 2026 On3 150 update. The 6-foot-2 point guard transferred this summer to play for Mouth of Wilson (VA) Oak Hill Academy on Nike’s EYBL Scholastic Circuit.

“I’m a three-level scorer, a point guard,” Williams told On3. “My jump shot is becoming more of a weapon for me now and I’m consistent with the mid-range. I watch a lot of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and try to be like him.”

This summer, Williams played up on Nike’s EYBL Circuit with the Florida Rebels program. He averaged 8.1 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game throughout the season at the 17u levels.

“I’m used to playing up, against older competition,” Williams said. “I’ve been doing it my whole life, So playing up in Peach Jam was just another day, to be honest.”

On3 was able to catch up with On3 four-star Donovan Williams after a recent live viewing to discuss the latest in his recruitment.

Williams talks offers

“Right now, I have offers from Illinois, West Virginia, Mercer, and USF,” Williams said.

WEST VIRGINIA: “They like that I’m a dominant scorer. They haven’t really even seen me yet as a point guard. On the circuit, I played a lot off the ball as a shooting guard and that is a lot of when they recruited me. But really I’m a point guard. I haven’t really had a chance to look into them like that yet, but I am going to be watching them closely this season.”

USF: “I like their system, it’s a lot more guard-oriented. I like how Coach (Amir Abdur-Rahim) runs his offense. I’ve been on an unofficial visit there. I really liked their weight room, that was really up-to-date. The atmosphere there was great, they won their league this year, so they didn’t do too bad. It was lit there, I liked it.”

“I’m hearing from schools like South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, some programs like that,” Williams said.

In Donovan Williams’ words

“I’m not sure when I’m going to start going on visits, to be honest,” Williams said. “It will probably be more after the high school season and go on some visits then.

“I’m going to be looking heavily at what role each program has for me. I’m a point guard. I am comfortable facilitating and getting my teammates involved. I’ll look at how their offense is set. Do they like to feed the bigs or do they let their guards rock out with a lot of freedom to make decisions?”
