Ed Orgeron reveals what he would tell Joe Burrow before Super Bowl 56

Ed Orgeron has immense love for Joe Burrow. The star quarterback changed the course of his career, elevating Orgeron’s LSU Tigers squad to one of the best teams to grace the sport of college football. Now, Orgeron is hoping Burrow can capture his first Lombardi Trophy.

The duo will forever be connected. While Orgeron won’t be on the field in Los Angeles with Burrow, he joined Postseason NFL Countdown to reveal what he would tell Burrow if he was.

“I’d tell him I love him,” stated Orgeron. “Don’t head-butt the wall before going out.”

As you can see, it’ll be emotional for Orgeron to watch Burrow take the field in Super Bowl 56. If he finds a way to become victorious, the waterworks may begin to flow. Nevertheless, its evident Orgeron will always be in Burrow‘s corner.

Orgeron on keys to success for Bengals: ‘We gotta protect Joe.’

Furthermore, Orgeron revealed the keys to success for Burrow and Chase in Super Bowl 56.

“Very similar, it’s all about protection first. We gotta protect Joe,” started Orgeron. “Listen, you’re not going to totally slow down that great rush. But we can’t have any sack-fumbles. We have to double team those guys. Get the ball out quick, and get Ja’Marr in one on ones.

“Now, he gets a one on one, he’s with Jalen Ramsey — that’s going to be another battle.”

Moreover, Orgeron stated how he foresees the battle between Chase and Ramsey playing out.

“I think it’s going to be 50-50,” revealed Orgeron. “I think they gonna win some, they gonna lose some. But we have to be able to get him the ball deep. I’ve seen other teams playing over the top of Ja’Marr, and not letting him deep. We gotta get him the ball deep so we get some big plays.”

The showdown between the star wide receiver and defensive back could decide the game. Nevertheless, Orgeron left the set with one final point — a not-so-shocking prediction for Super Bowl 56.

“I think these playoffs have been the best football we’ve seen in a long time,” prefaced Orgeron. “And it comes down to whoever has the ball last. I think it may be one of those games. I hope the Bengals have the ball last. Geaux Bengals!”
