Eli Manning spotlights run-in with Tim Tebow on Florida visit
Not everyone will run into Tim Tebow while they’re walking around Gainesville, but not everyone is Eli Manning.
Evidently, Manning is luckier than most when it comes to taking a trip to the University of Florida. On Wednesday, the former New York Giants star shared a photo of himself and the Gators legend in-front of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
“I was walking around Gainesville today and look who I ran into. @TimTebow,” tweeted Manning.”
Two football legends known for their clutch gene in the flesh. The duo tore up the SEC during their respective college years, and both made it to the NFL. Of course, Manning captured two Super Bowl rings, while Tebow completed a myriad of memorable comebacks during his time as the Denver Broncos starting quarterback.
Evidently, Florida faithful might just have to start taking daily walks by their football stadium. If they do, they could run into legends like Tim Tebow and Eli Manning doing the same.
Tim Tebow, two other Florida legends make Hall of Fame ballot
Three Florida Gators legends are heading for the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, the National Football Foundation announced on earlier this month. Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Tim Tebow, as well as DT Brad Culpepper and RB Errict Rhett, will be on the ballot, with the final list released in early 2023.
Florida has produced 13 Hall of Famers – nine players and four coaches – including Steve Spurrier, who was inducted both as a player and a coach. The last Gator to be awarded the honor was offensive lineman Lomas Brown in 2020. Since 2000, eight Gators have joined the prestigious group.
