Elite 2025 EDGE Mariyon Dye commits to Tennessee
Elite 2025 EDGE Mariyon Dye of Elkhart (IN) Central High announced his commitment to Tennessee Friday afternoon.
The 6-foot-5, 255 pounder chose the Volunteers over Purdue, LSU, and Ohio State.
“The way that they treated my family when I was down there and the relationship that I have built with the coaches over the past year,” Dye said. “Coach Chop and coach Heupel literally call me everyday and don’t even talk to me about football. They check up on me and see how my day is going.”
His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him played a role in his decision as well.
“I’m closest to coach Chop for sure. He is like a father figure to me. Their plan is to develop me into not just the best football player, but the best man I could be so I could get to the next level.”
The Hoosier State EDGE joins coach Josh Heupel and the Vols’ top 12 2025 class. He is accompanied by five-star quarterback George MacIntyre, four-star IOL Douglas Utu, and others.

Personal Life (via On3)
“Elkhart coach Romison Saint-Louis says you’re going to have to look near and far to find somebody that works harder than Mariyon Dye. “He works so hard in everything – weight room, on the field and in the classroom,” Saint-Louis told WSBT 22. “Athletically, he’s got long arms and uses his arms well. His technique is pretty good, and on top of that, he’s got range, being a multi-sport athlete. He takes things day by day and competes and gives the best that he can.” During his first two years of varsity high school football, Dye recorded 61 tackles, five tackles for a loss, four sacks and three fumble recoveries.”
He currently does not have an On3 NIL Valuation publicly listed. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
