The shadow that Dan Snyder has cast over the NFL is one that people are ready to be rid of. While he’s not nearly as involved in their operations now, he remains the owner of the Washington Commanders. However, this may only be the beginning of the story as an ESPN report suggests Snyder has some grievances to air on his eventual way out.

Per the report, Synder believes he has collected plenty of dirt on names across NFL front offices through the use of private investigators from his law firms. It’s a tactic that the article says Snyder does when he’s ‘cornered’ but, nonetheless, he believes the information would be able to “blow up” several NFL owners, the league office, and even commissioner Roger Goodell.”

“They can’t f— with me,” said Snyder privately. “The NFL is a mafia. All the owners hate each other,” said Snyder to an associate,” Snyder said to an associate.

Again, this is hearsay as of now from a man who is grasping for straws. Snyder is in a losing position. If the league further outed him, he’d be more than happy to start as many fires as he can on his way out. If nothing else, it sounds as if Snyder is the misfit amongst the group to this point.

“That’s not true. All the owners hate Dan,” said one veteran owner in the report.

Several around the NFL are ready to see the Snyder era end. That goal could start to gain some traction as early as the next week in the NFL league meetings. This new wrinkle from Snyder, though, may cause problems if there’s any merit to it. In the end, it could cause even more trouble for the league if any of his ‘dirt’ holds any weight.
