Last week’s NFL scouting combine saw many players increase their stock ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft. As a result, ESPN analyst Todd McShay made some sweeping changes in his latest mock draft — including multiple trades by the Chicago Bears.

The Bears hold the No. 1 overall selection and multiple reports suggest they’re going to trade that pick. McShay predicted it will go to the Indianapolis Colts, who will select former Alabama star Bryce Young with the top selection.

Then, McShay mocked another trade by Chicago with the Las Vegas Raiders, who would move up to the No. 4 spot to take former Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson after he put together one of the most impressive combine performances of the week. He not only set records for a quarterback in the broad jump and vertical jump, but he also ran a 4.43 40-yard dash and threw some impressive deep balls. C.J. Stroud also looked good at the combine, and McShay projected the Houston Texans to stand pat at No. 2 overall and select the former Ohio State standout.

Notably, former Georgia star Jalen Carter — who was a projected top-four pick in fellow ESPN analyst Mel Kiper’s mock draft last month — dropped to No. 12 overall in the wake of an arrest warrant last week.

Here’s McShay’s updated mock draft, featuring the two trades by Chicago.
