It’s officially draft month, and the 2023 NFL Draft picture is starting to come into focus as teams prepare to make their way to Kansas City. ESPN analyst Todd McShay released his updated mock draft Tuesday morning, and it features a quarterback-heavy top 10.

McShay isn’t wavering on who the Carolina Panthers will take atop the board after trading up with the Chicago Bears for the No. 1 pick. He still thinks they’ll wind up taking former Ohio State standout C.J. Stroud, who put on an impressive showing in at his pro day in front of a huge contingent from Carolina. After Stroud, McShay has former Alabama star Bryce Young going No. 2 overall. Young also saw a good turnout at his pro day and continues to make it a tough decision for the Panthers atop the board.

Then, McShay projects a trade. He has the Indianapolis Colts moving up one spot with the Arizona Cardinals to select former Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson at No. 3 overall. Richardson is one of the more intriguing players in the draft and after his performances at the NFL Combine and at his pro day, his stock continues to rise after an up-and-down season as the Gators’ starter.

One of the more notable picks in McShay’s top five is former Georgia star Jalen Carter. Carter recently pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors stemming from January’s crash that killed teammate Devin Willock and staffer Chandler LeCroy, and that situation has led to plenty of questions about where he’ll go in the draft later this month. In his latest mock, McShay projects Carter to go to the Seattle Seahawks with the No. 5 overall pick — up from No. 12 overall in his previous mock draft.

Here is McShay’s full, updated top 10 from his Mock Draft 4.0.
