Ezekiel Elliott makes definitive pitch for Odell Beckham Jr after Thanksgiving win
After a great win over their NFC East rival on Thanksgiving Day, Ezekiel Elliott shared a direct call for Odell Beckham Jr to join the Cowboys. Dallas defeated the New York Giants in a 28-20 finish in a game jokingly referred to as the “Beckham Bowl” as the star wide receiver weighs his free agency options between the two teams.
Several Dallas players have made pleas to Beckham over the past few weeks, attempting to recruit him as an offensive weapon as they prepare for a playoff run. After Thursday’s win, Elliott didn’t mince his words while sharing a message intended for the receiver.

After the game, Around the NFL‘s Jeremy Bergman shared what Elliott told NFL Network’s Jane Slater in regards to Beckham.
“Ezekiel Elliott to [Jane Slater] on his message to Odell Beckham: ‘Hey, OBJ, man: We want you in Dallas. You know, all the stars shine brighter in Dallas. So I mean, look, we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do to get him. Hey, we need OBJ.'”

Elliott isn’t the only Dallas star calling for Beckham to join the team, with players like Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence and quarterback Dak Prescott all pressuring both sides to find an agreement. Prescott claimed on Tuesday of this week that their dominant performance against the Minnesota Vikings last week was a powerful recruiting effort by itself.
“When we’re playing like [how we did in Minnesota] and you’re able to add a talent like Odell, that can be special,” said Prescott. “That just creates more weapons for not only me, but for the offense [as a whole] and for the play-caller. It’s more things for the defense to worry about.
“We’re getting him in [for a visit] and hopefully things are going great in the recruiting process.”
“He knows how much I want him here,” added Prescott. “And a lot of the guys in this locker room have reached out on their own in different ways — to make sure he understands this is a team he can help. And we want him to come help.”
