Florida Gators or Houston Cougars? Media members make their picks

The stage is set for Monday night’s NCAA Tournament championship game — and it promises to be a classic. Florida (35-4) and Houston (35-4) will battle it out in San Antonio, Texas, after each team pulled off thrilling come-from-behind victories in Saturday’s semifinals. Both programs have been dominant all season, boasting deep rosters, elite coaching, and a relentless drive to win. But only one will emerge as the national champion and cut down the nets.
Florida is chasing its third NCAA title, while Houston, making its seventh Final Four appearance, is still seeking its first. Who will rise to the occasion? Will Florida’s All-American guard Walter Clayton have another monster game? Might Houston coach Kelvin Sampson finally get that championship trophy?
Gators Online is tracking expert predictions from across the country and will keep this story updated through Sunday and into Monday’s showdown.
