WATCH: Former Arkansas star Isaiah Joe shows off moves to beat shot clock at NBA Summer League
Former Arkansas star Isaiah Joe has been on a tear recently in the NBA Summer League. A little bit over a week ago, he stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points (team high), four steals, and four rebounds for the Philadelphia 76ers against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Not only that, he delivered the game-winning three-pointer, a cold-blooded dagger he drained with a hand in his face with 24.1 seconds remaining in the game.
On Friday night, Joe continued to get his shine on for the 76ers in Summer League action against the Denver Nuggets. He put former Villanova star Collin Gillespie in the spin cycle with a nasty spin move, before getting to the hoop, and draining a one-handed layup over Jack White.
Check it out here.
He instantly made an impact at Arkansas and established himself as one of the best shooters in school history. Joe drained a single-season program record of 113-three pointers as a freshman. That number also ranked fourth in NCAA history. He broke the record that was previously held by former Razorbacks’ star Scotty Thurman (102).

His prolific shooting continued his sophomore year, after he drilled 43 of his 45 free throw attempts in SEC games (95.6 percent). Once again, the gifted shooting guard set another Arkansas single-season record in that stat category.
Coming out of high school, Joe was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 29 shooting guard in America for the 2018 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus Rankings. He was one of the most highly touted players in the state of Arkansas, earning USA Today Arkansas Player of the Year honors as well as Gatorade Player of the Year honors for the state of Arkansas as well. As a senior, Joe averaged 22.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.9 steals. The gifted shooting guard led Northside High School (Fort Smith, Arkansas) to back-to-back 7A state championships.
