Antonio Callaway is on the road to a return. The former Florida star wide receiver is getting another chance at an NFL career, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Callaway will be in Indianapolis for Colts minicamp on a tryout basis.

“Former #Browns WR Antonio Callaway will be at #Colts minicamp, source said, on a tryout basis,” tweeted Rapoport. “The 2018 fourth round pick recently spent time with the #Dolphins and #Chiefs.”

While Callaway starred on the field at Florida, the wide receiver fell in the 2018 NFL Draft due to various reasons, drafted in the fourth round by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 105 overall pick. After two seasons in the AFC North, the former Florida star took his talents to the XFL, where he played the abbreviated season of the football league with the Tampa Bay Vipers.

Afterwards, the pass catcher spent time with the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs, as Rapoport pointed out. All in all, Callaway accumulated 675 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns with 51 receptions over his NFL career, all while with the Browns.

Before taking his talents to Florida, Callaway was a four-star recruit from the Class of 2015 out of Booker T. Washington in Miami, Florida, according to the On3 Consensus. The pass catcher was the No. 30 overall wide receiver in the nation, the No. 31 recruit out of Florida and the No. 216 recruit overall nationally.

The Colts are in need of wide receivers, and Antonio Callaway is being thrown a line. Now, the former Florida star will be looking to make an impact in Indianapolis.

More on Antonio Callaway, Indianapolis Colts

Furthermore, Antonio Callaway is hoping to work his way onto a Colts roster brimming with potential.

First, the lifeblood of Indianapolis is their offensive line, which is anchored by elite offensive lineman Quenton Nelson. His job this season will be to protect former NFL MVP and longtime Atlanta Falcons star Matt Ryan, who the Colts traded for earlier this off-season.

As for the team’s receiving corps, the group is led by the dynamic Michael Pittman. The former USC star showed out for the Colts last season, taking a huge step in his NFL career, but it was evident he needed more help.

Could Antonio Callaway slot right in? The competition will be stiff, but the experienced former Florida star may be staring his final chance at a lengthy NFL career in the face.
