Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase may not be active this week for his team, but he was active on Twitter during the Bengals’ divisional matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Chase is missing his third straight game following a hip injury that’s supposed to sideline him for four to six weeks, but when he was playing this season, he did not feel he was getting some of the same treatment that the wide receivers in today’s game are receiving, which he vocalized in the tweet seen below.

Chase is likely referring to two calls that went against the Bengals’ defense in the first half, a defensive pass interference called on cornerback Mike Hilton while defending George Pickens and a defensive holding call on Tre Flowers while guarding Pat Freiermuth.

The former LSU Tiger is definitely not afraid to let his opinion and frustration be known, and hopefully for him and the Bengals, he can be sharing them back on their sideline soon.

Report: Hip injury to sideline Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase for 4-6 weeks

Ja’Marr Chase was off to a stellar start following being named the 2021 Offensive Rookie of the Year a year prior — avoiding a sophomore slump. His connection with quarterback Joe Burrow thus far has been top-notch, but it will be a while before the LSU duo is back on the field together.

According to Adam Schefter, Chase is “dealing” with a hip injury that could land him on injured reserve. He would miss upwards of six weeks if so but more opinions are on the way for the Cincinnati Bengals’ star wide receiver.

“Bengals’ WR Ja’Marr Chase is dealing with a hip injury that is expected to sideline him 4-6 weeks and makes him a prime candidate for injured reserve, per sources,” Schefter said. “Chase visited with a hip specialist Wednesday and is seeking more answers about his injury.”

If injured reserve does end up being the action Cincinnati had to take on Chase, he will miss at least the next four games. Two are essential road and primetime AFC North showdowns, with Monday Night Football against the Cleveland Browns being the first. The Bengals will travel to Pittsburgh on Nov. 7 for Sunday Night Football.

Chase had caught 47 passes for 605 yards and six touchdowns to this point of the season. Burrow has not been afraid to spread the ball around, with Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd making significant contributions as well to the reigning AFC champions.

However, the LSU connection had been heating up before Chase’s injury. The duo has combined for 15 catches for 262 yards and four touchdowns over the past two weeks. Just when the Bengals’ offense was seeing their two best players heat up, it all comes crashing down.

For now, Chase is not expected to be out of the entire season. Getting together with the hip specialist will provide more answers.
