Former Eagles safety Chris Maragos awarded massive settlement against former team doctor
Chris Maragos, a former Philadelphia Eagles team captain and University of Wisconsin standout, has been awarded $43.5 million against a former team doctor for the mishandling of his career-ending PCL injury back in 2017.
The settlement was made against Roman Orthopedics, a rehabilitation institute, and Dr. James Bradley, a former member of the Eagles’ medical staff.
The suit was filed by Maragos back in 2019 which had allegations that Bradley did not address the injury at the time it occurred and it led to his premature retirement. The injury occurred back in October of 2017 on a punt return against the Carolina Panthers.
Maragos finished his eight-year career playing for three different teams — the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Eagles — where he notched 90 career tackles.

Though, her performance has gained mixed reactions from fans from around social media.
