Former Texas Tech star Cameron Batson allegedly fled scene and fought police during arrest
Atlanta Falcons receiver Cameron Batson was arrested Saturday morning after fighting with police and fleeing the scene, according to a report from CBS Sports.
Batson was reportedly stopped around 2 a.m. for speeding after he was seen weaving between multiple lanes on the highway. The officer who pulled him over noted that he seemed intoxicated and also alleged that Batson resisted arrest.
The report also states that the officer fired his gun, though it did not hit anyone. Batson got back into his truck and drove away before eventually crashing and attempting to flee on foot.
Batson went undrafted out of Texas Tech in 2018 before signing with the Tennessee Titans, whom he played for until 2021. He joined the Falcons practice squad in August, and he has not recorded any stats this season.
