Standing at 6-foot-9, and 215 pounds, Brandon Garrison is a physical mismatch in most games he enters. The Oklahoma native receives the Bam Adebayo comparison often, and you can see the resemblance through their measurables and how the two big men dunk the ball with authority.

A junior at Del City High School, Garrison has received nearly double-digit scholarship offers. He’s already taken unofficial visits to Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma. The big man discussed each of his trips with On3.

Garrison talks visits

Kansas:(Bill Self) hits me up. We just got done talking the other day. When I went up there during the fall, I saw a scrimmage, and it was still packed out and I liked the atmosphere. The fans were just showing love.”

Arkansas:Coach Muss hits me up every day and their assistant coaches. When I went up there, the fans were showing love. I actually got to see a game when I went and there were a lot of fans there and I liked their campus and I liked how they did stuff around there.”

Oklahoma State: “Me and coach (Mike) Boynton have a good relationship, as well as the assistant coaches. I like how they do things up there and the campus is nice. I’ve caught a lot of games because I’m from around there and I like their style of play. They’re like an hour away.”

Oklahoma: “I play with coach (Porter) Moser’s son on the summer circuit. We’ve been building a good relationship ever since he got there. They just showed me love. The campus is also nice and I like how they play too. They’re only like 20 minutes away.”

New interests and future visits

Originally scheduled to officially visit Kansas on March 5th, Garrison had to reschedule the trip due to a conflict with his high school playoffs. He assured me the visit will still happen, just at a later date.

Garrison says he’d like to make a return trip to Arkansas for an official visit and mentioned he would like to make trips to Texas and Gonzaga, as the two programs have started to show interest in the big man.

Texas: “I like how they play. I’ve watched a couple of their games and I’ve heard good things about them. I just want to visit the gym, the campus, and see what it’s like in person.”

Gonzaga: “They’ve been texting like every other day, just sending me stuff, seeing how I’m doing, texting my mom, stuff like that. I like how they use their bigs and I just like how their coaches have been showing love. I want to go up there to visit.. it looks crazy in there.

Iowa State, Tennessee, Butler, and Creighton have also all expressed interest in Garrison.
