Report: Free agent Odell Beckham Jr to visit Cowboys, Giants after Thanksgiving
Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to visit the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants after Thanksgiving, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero & Ian Rapoport. The two teams have now emerged as favorites to sign the free agent wide receiver, who has remained away from football for more than half the season while recovering from a re-torn ACL.
He has not scheduled any other meetings with other teams, per report, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility Beckham decides to take more calls before making a final decision.
Both teams have their upside for Beckham. The Giants were the team that drafted the former LSU star No. 12 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. Beckham was in New York last month to reportedly check on his former teammate Sterling Shepard after Shepard’s ACL tear, but “did not meet with the team’s brass,” per the report.

For Dallas, Beckham has been linked to Jerry Jones and the Cowboys over the last several weeks as well. It really intensified around the trade deadline and it was reported last week that he hopes to be on a roster by November.

Both the Giants (7-2) and Cowboys (6-3) are both in playoff contention at this point of the season and are just about neck-and-neck for second place in the NFC East. The Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) remain in first place in the division heading into Week 11.
The last time we saw Beckham on the field, he suffered the aforementioned ACL tear in the first half during Super Bowl 56. Still, the former first-rounder was still able to make a splash during his short time with the Los Angeles Rams.
In 12 total games for the Rams (regular season and playoffs), Beckham hauled in 48 catches for 593 yards and scored 7 touchdowns, second only to Cooper Kupp during that time.
