Week 5 will bring one of the top clashes of the entire college football season, with Georgia traveling to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama, and ticket prices to get into Bryant-Denny Stadium reflect the game’s importance.

After their SEC title game showdown had a get-in price of $533 (per Gametime), TicketCity is showing a get-in price of $302 for their rematch on Saturday evening. That’s impressively steep for a regular season game, but it’s par for the course when these two behemoths meet.

On the other hand, the highest price for a non-suite ticket for Saturday’s clash is $22,658, according to TicketCity. Whether you’re a fan of the Bulldogs or the Crimson Tide, perhaps no price would be too high to see your team potentially snatch the biggest win of the college football season.

Whoever does in fact end the weekend victorious will be in prime position for the SEC title game, and in-turn, the College Football Playoff. Still, there’s a long time until we reach that point of the season, but the winner of Georgia-Alabama will certainly possess some much needed juice moving forward.

That’s why so many people would love to be in attendance on Saturday, but there’s another potential roadblock to getting into the stadium, aside from the high prices. Alabama Athletics is warning fans about potential scam tickets for the game, which have evidently become prevalent.

The university ticket office sent out a message to fans on Wednesday, highlighting a few key details. Along with being denied entry at the gate, fans with fraudulent tickets could be subject to investigation. Any fan found with counterfeit tickets in the premises of Bryant-Denny Stadium will be ejected.

Thankfully, if fans are wondering about the validity of their tickets, they can visit the university ticket office during business hours — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT — and at Gates 4 and 44 starting at 2 p.m. on game day.

“Unfortunately, counterfeit tickets — sold on the internet and by individuals around the stadium and on campus on game day — can lead to some fans being defrauded,” the message said, in part. “The UA Athletic Ticket Office would like to remind fans that any person who purchases a stolen or counterfeit ticket may be denied admission at the gates and any individual trying to gain entry with a ticket found to be fraudulent could be subject to investigation. Also, any person in the stadium who is caught with a stolen or counterfeit ticket will be ejected.”

While the drama inside the stadium will be palpable, most of America will be tuned in via their television sets, when the game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Prior to kickoff, ESPN is giving the clash the feel of a big game, bringing College GameDay to town, but when the rubber meets the road, it’ll come down to which team is better prepared, and it’s anyone’s guess who will be left standing tall between Georgia and Alabama.
