Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers went viral once again this week after channeling a Peyton Manning SNL skit at a charity football event in March. Playing 7-on-7 style, Rodgers threw an interception and then proceeded to throw the ball at the player who picked it off.

The player, Darius Maxwell, is a former Saddleback C.C. wide receiver. He is committed to playing for Wheeling University in West Virginia next year. It’s unclear if Maxwell said anything to Rodgers after the interception but his taunting return of the football was enough to get a reaction out of the NFL QB.

The NFL MVP threw just four interceptions during the 2021 season. He appears to be getting them out of his system early for 2022.

Rodgers, Equanimeous St. Brown, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and former Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder were among the guests at the JSerra Catholic High event in Orange County, Cali., that reportedly raised $375,000 in funds on Saturday.

Rodgers not believed to attend Packers’ voluntary offseason program

The Green Bay Packers gave Aaron Rodgers a hefty extension this offseason. But they aren’t planning to see him until June.

Rodgers is not expected to appear at the Packers’ voluntary offseason program, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Tom Silverstein. His plan is to attend the mandatory minicamp in June, and that’s it.

Rodgers, the two-time reigning MVP, didn’t participate in the voluntary workouts last year, either. The situation was a little different, though. He famously held out, and questions rose about whether he’d play for the Packers at all in 2021. It worked out well for both sides. Rodgers had a stellar year, throwing for completing 69 percent of his passes for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdowns.

The result? A second consecutive MVP award and a massive contract extension worth $150 million over the first three years. The first two years are fully guaranteed. However, there are two “dummy years” as placeholders tacked onto the end in case Rodgers decides to retire. With the deal, Green Bay put to rest any questions about Rodgers’ immediate future, even after trading Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders.
