Green Bay Packers center likely to miss a few weeks with knee injury
Green Bay Packers center Josh Myers is expected to miss a few weeks with a knee injury, per the latest NFL injury report. Myers left Sunday’s game against Chicago on the Packers’ first series.
The rookie second round pick also missed Week 5 against the Bengals because of a finger injury. The good news is Myers’ latest injury is not expected to be season-ending.
In other injury news for the Packers, left tackle David Bakhtiari is expected to practice this week. He has to this point been listed on the PUP list with an ACL injury he suffered last season. His status is still very much in question for Week 7.
“Time will tell if we put him in a position to suit up for us,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur added.
The Packers are in the midst of a five-game winning streak after beginning the season with a Week 1 loss to New Orleans. They earned a 24-14 road win against the Bears this past week.
The offense has started to click in recent week as defending MVP Aaron Rodgers has looked like his usual self. The quarterback recently was 17-of-23 for 195 yards passing and three total touchdowns against Chicago.

He has passed for 1,436 yards, 12 touchdowns and three interceptions through the first six games. Two of those interceptions came in Week 1, as Rodgers is posting an incredible 12:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio since then. He appears on track for another impressive year and a chance to take Green Bay deep into the postseason.
The Packers will look to keep their winning streak alive despite the knee injury to their center when they face Washington at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Cornerbacks Jaire Alexander and Kevin King, as well as tackle Dennis Kelly, missed Week 6. Alexander will certainly not play in Week 7, while the status of the other two is to be determined.
