Aaron Rodgers confirms that he still owns the Chicago Bears after 28-19 win
Aaron Rodgers did it to Bears fans once again on Sunday in Chicago. Despite the Packers trailing 19-10 through three quarters, the Green Bay star and Chicago “owner” mounted three scoring drives in the fourth quarter to take the win 28-19. After the game, reporters asked Rodgers whether he still “owns Chicago,” as he asserted on Soldier Field more than a year ago. He responded simply, “Yes.”
“They’ve got great fans here in Chicago, it truly has been a second home for me,” Rodgers said in his post-game interview on the field. “I’ve had a lot of big wins here, a lot of great moments over the years… So it’s fun to come back here, get a win, let the fans know – I’m still here.”
After the final whistle, Rodgers exited the field while saluting the fans still in their seats. The win on Sunday marked No. 25 for the quarterback versus the Bears, and his second over the divisional rivals this season. Chicago hasn’t beaten Green Bay since 2018. In total, Rodgers has lost just five matchups in his career versus the Bears.
