The Green Bay Packers have re-signed veteran safety Dallin Leavitt, according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo. The former Raiders defender posted 17 tackles in his first season for Green Bay last year.

Leavitt joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2018 out of Utah State. He agreed to a deal with the then-Oakland Raiders shortly after the draft and spent much of his rookie season as a member of their practice squad.

In his four years prior to 2022 with the Raiders, Leavitt played in 42 games with one start, recorded 56 tackles, 27 solo, four passes defended, and two fumble recoveries; one on defense and the other on special teams.

Leavitt has been a key special teams contributor for Rich Bisaccia since entering the league in 2018. In 2022, he played on a one-year deal worth $1.2 million.

Packers offseason roster changes amid free agency

Prior to the beginning of free agency, teams had a chance to designate one franchise or transition tag player, starting on Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. ET and ending on March 7.
