The bad news for the Green Bay Packers: Three offensive starters will be out against the Washington Commanders this Sunday. The good news? None of them are quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers spent his second-straight week on the injury report with a right thumb injury — he played last week with the ailment and is in line to do so again. He didn’t practice Wednesday, practiced fully on Thursday, and was finally limited on Friday.

But with three offensive teammates — offensive lineman Jake Hanson plus wide receivers Randall Cobb and Christian Watson — missing the game, it won’t necessarily be smooth sailing for the Packers.

Watson is missing his second-straight game with a hamstring injury that he suffered in London against the New York Giants. Cobb notably exited the Packers loss to the New York Jets last weekend with an ankle injury and did not practice this week. Hanson also did not practice this week and won’t be suiting up on Sunday.

There is a possibility for wide receiver Sammy Watkins to come off of injured reserve this weekend and he won’t carry an injury designation, as he isn’t currently on the 53-man roster.

Despite not practicing on Friday, offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins is expected to play.

“Guard/tackle Elgton Jenkins (knee) took a rest day on Friday but is expected to play after not receiving a game-status designation,” team reporter Wes Hodkiewicz wrote. Additionally, offensive tackle David Bakhtiari is expected to play, too.

Edge rusher Rashan Gary will play after fully practicing this week while dealing with a toe injury and tight end Marcedes Lewis was never a worry — his DNP on Thursday was a veteran rest day.
