Packers release inactives list ahead of matchup vs Patriots

The Green Bay Packers have revealed its inactive list ahead of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. Thankfully for both teams, who both had at least 10 players on the injury report throughout the week, only a handful of players on either sideline will be out for Sunday’s game.

Of those not listed, the Packers added offensive tackle Yosh Nijman (illness) was a last-minute addition to the final injury report, but will now suit up. T Caleb Jones missed practice with an illness all week, but is good to go. Fellow offensive lineman David Bakhtiari (knee) and Elgton Jenkins (knee) are also available after another week flirting with the injury report.

The Packers’ inactive list is as followed:

• CB Jaire Alexander
• T Rasheed Walker
• G/T Sean Rhyan
• WR Samori Toure
• DL Jonathan Ford

Alexander, the Packers’ star defensive back, played six snaps before leaving after the first series of the Packers’ 14-12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He did not practice on Thursday, but returned to practice on Friday in a limited capacity before being officially ruled out Sunday afternoon.

Patriots inactives:

• QB Mac Jones
• DT Lawrence Guy
• WR Jakobi Meyers
• CB Jalen Mills
• DB Joshuah Bledsoe

The biggest blow to the Patriots, of course, is QB! Mac Jones. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jones is most likely going to miss “multiple” games for the Patriots this season after getting injured last week. The high ankle sprain he suffered possibly could require surgery as well. No official decision has been made by either party but at this point, New England will be without their star QB.

Kickoff between the Packers and Patriots is slated for 4:25 p.m. ET live from Lambeau Field with CBS carrying the regional broadcast as Green Bay looks to take advantage of a QB1-less Patriots squad at home.
