Green Bay Packers release Week 18 Wednesday injury report vs. Detroit Lions

Aaron Rodgers did not participate in the Packers’ Wednesday walkthrough, the team announced via their Jan. 4 injury report. Rodgers continues to nurse his injured thumb and knee as they set to host the Detroit Lions in Green Bay.

Rodgers was the only player on the Packers’ active roster that didn’t participate in practice Wednesday. It’s mostly a precautionary measure, and he is likely to practice in a limited capacity as the week ramps up.

Elsewhere on the report, defenders Krys Barnes and Rudy Ford were full participants, while six others were labeled as limited to the team during walkthrough including running back Aaron Jones and wide receiver Christian Watson.

Carolina Panthers release Wednesday injury report ahead of finale vs. New Orleans

The Carolina Panthers are in good health heading into the season finale against the New Orleans Saints, save for one defensive starter who was held out of practice on Wednesday. According to the Panthers injury report from Wednesday, defensive tackle Matt Ioannidisdid not practice on Wednesday with a back issue.

Beyond Ioannidis, linebacker Chandler Wooten did not practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. Offensive tackle Taylor Moton did not practice but he was listed as getting rest, so he should be expected back on Thursday.

Two more Panthers were limited on Wednesday. Tight end Stephen Sullivan was limited with an elbow injury and reserve linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe was hampered by a hamstring injury.
