Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears Thursday injury report

The Green Bay Packers continue to prepare for their divisional matchup against their divisional rival Chicago Bears. On Thursday, both teams released their injury report for the week, announcing which players participated in practice and the ones who did not participate on each day.

The game is set for 1 p.m. ET at Solder Field in Chicago. The game will also be broadcast on FOX as part of its Sunday NFL coverage.

Packers and Bears injury list

Did Not Practice – Packers: T Dennis Kelly (Back), CB Kevin King (Shoulder), TE Mercedes Lewis (NIR- Resting Vet)

The Packers offensive line dealt with several injuries on Thursday. Dennis Kelly has not participated over the past two days, adding another name to the list of potential absences. Cornerback Kevin King has also missed consecutive days of practice, setting back the Packers further given the uncertainty surrounding Jaire Alexander’s season status. Veteran tight end Mercedes Lewis missed practice, now listed as a non-injury absence, resting ahead of the Bears game.

Did Not Participate – Bears: DT Akiem Hicks (Groin), TE J.P. Holtz (Quadricep), LB Caleb Johnson (Knee), LB Khalil Mack (Foot), WR Allen Robinson II (Ankle)

The injury to star outside linebacker Khalil Mack continues to steal headlines and holds him out of practice. Another starter in the front seven, Akiem Hicks continues to deal with a groin injury as trade rumors swirl around the veteran.

Limited Participation – Packers: WR Davante Adams (NIR – Resting Vet), G Elgton Jenkins (Ankle), RB Aaron Jones (Ankle), TE Robert Tonyan (Knee)

Davante Adams again only participated in limited portions of practice while resting. All three of the remaining Packers players also dealt with their injuries and continue to in limited capacity on Thursday.

A pair of Bears wide receivers are dealing with injuries heading into the weekend. The Bears also placed running back Damien Williams on the Reserve/COVID-19 list

Full Participation – Packers: WR Randall Cobb (NIR – Resting Vet), DL Jack Heflin (Ankle), C Josh Myers (Finger), S Vernon Scott (Knee)

The Packers get veteran wide receiver Randall Cobb back as a full participant after one day of rest. Another offensive lineman returns to practice in Josh Myers, as well as two defensive players Jack Heflin and Vernon Scott.

Full Participation – Bears: DB Xavier Crawford (Back), QB Justin Fields (Ribs/Knee), TE Jimmy Graham (NIR – Resting Vet), LB Joel Iyiegbuniwe (Hamstring), WR Duke Shelley (Ankle), LB Danny Trevathan (Knee), RB Ryan Nall (Ankle)

 A long list of Bears players participated in practice Thursday, including quarterback Justin Fields. His return could be key for Chicago, along with tight end Jimmy Graham and Danny Trevathan.
