LaTrevion Fenderson, a three-star small forward in the 2026 class, will remain in his home state and has committed to Wisconsin, he told On3.
The 6-foot-4 small forward has made an early pledge to the Badgers over offers from Iowa State, Wisconsin-Milwuakee, and Southern Utah.
A native of Racine, Fenderson will be concluding his high school career at DME Academy in Delafield, WI before heading off to Madison in a couple of years to begin his college journey.
Fenderson discussed his decision to choose Greg Gard and the Badgers with On3.
Fenderson on his commitment to Wisconsin
“I chose Wisconsin because of the commitment they showed to me. This summer, coach Gard and staff came to almost every tournament I had to watch me play. I have received numerous of calls and text from coach Gard, assistant coaches and fans. Numerous fans have expressed how important and special it would be for me to stay home and play for the home team. There wasn’t anything that Wisconsin had to prove to me. I wanted to prove to them that I was worthy of the offer that I received from them. Coach Gard sold me on the responsibility of playing for your home state and also showed me how I would fit into the new system.”
