Jalen Reece, a four-star point guard in the 2025 class, has cut his list of schools down to seven: Cincinnati, Dayton, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State, Providence, and USF.

The 5-foot-10 rising senior out of Oak Ridge High (FL) has taken four unofficial visits — Cincinnati, Ohio State, LSU, and Providence. He’s currently scheduled to take an official visit to LSU on September 21st and Penn State on September 28th and plans to set up more official visits in the near future.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Reece is the No. 67 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 11 point guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Reece talks programs involved

In a previous interview with On3, Jalen Reece broke down a few of the visits he’s been on and his thoughts on the programs.

Cincinnati: “It was a great visit. It’s always good to be home — I have family there. I’m close with Jizzle James so he told me a lot about the place. Just knowing that’s a place I could be, going back home, it would be cool. I was born in Orlando but I’ve spent a lot of time in Cincinnati. My family is from there.

“(The relationship with the coaching staff) is good. They call me a lot, text me a lot. They’re really active. So knowing that they want me, that’s good to know.”

LSU: “It was a cool visit. Just knowing that players like Antonio Blakeney and Ben Simmons went there, those are people I look up to. Knowing that its my turn to go and put the jersey on and just having the ability to go over there and play. (Antonio Blakeney) means a lot to me personally. That’s like my big brother. I remember last year he told me to always be the last one out of the gym. He’s given me a lot of tricks and tips and I work out with him in the summer. I love our relationship.

Ohio State: “The Ohio State visit was good. It’s basically home too. It’s like an hour away from Cincinnati. (Ohio State) is my dream school. Just knowing that I could go to my dream school, I’ve always watched them and was a fan of D’Angelo RussellBruce Thornton, who is there now, I have a relationship with him as well. It’s good to know that I could go over there and play.”
